More About Our Team Members

Aaron Vrolijk

Dr. Aaron Vrolijk believes everyone should have clear, easy-to-understand health information. A big reason he went to medical school was to help fix the difficulties in accessing and understanding medical care.

As a medical student at University of Colorado and resident doctor at the University of Michigan, he saw how hard it can be for doctors and patients to communicate. This inspired him to start HealthEd for Everyone.

Aaron's own journey in education wasn't easy. He dropped out of high school and later got a degree through distance learning. He worked in many jobs, from food service to facilities.  He now has degrees in Visual Studies, Cinema Studies, Chemistry, and Medicine.

Before becoming a doctor, Aaron taught American Studies and Chemistry. He also created lessons about making healthcare safe for everyone.

Now, through HealthEd for Everyone, Aaron works to make sure patients can understand their health, have access to accurate information, and be empowerd to make choices about their care.
